Adam D’Angelo was born on August 21, 1984. He is currently 37 years old as of 2022. He went to Phillips Exeter Academy (PEA or Exeter) in New Hampshire for high school where he was classmates with the Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. Phillips Exeter Academy is one of the oldest secondary schools in the United States and one of the most prestigious in the world. In 2001 when he was in high school, he placed eighth at the USA Computing Olympiad. At the 2002 International Olympiad in Informatics, he won the silver medal.
While in high school, he developed the Synapse Media Player which is a music suggestion software, with Zuckerberg and others.
In 2002, he attended California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he got a bachelor’s degree. in Computer Science. While in Caltech, he took part in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Collegiate Programming Contest where his team were the World Finalists in 2003 as well as the North American champions. The following year, they won 2nd place in the same competition.
In 2005, D’Angelo was one of the top 24 finalists in the International Topcoder Collegiate Challenge. During that time, he also developed an AIM buddy list website called BuddyZoo.

Since Adam D’Angelo was close friends with Mark Zuckerberg, he was part of Facebook’s early days. He was the Chief Technological Officer (CTO) in Facebook’s early development. He also became the Vice President for Engineering until 2008 when he left the company.
In 2009, D’Angelo founded Quora with another former Facebook employee named Charlie Cheever. Quora is based in Mountain View, California. In March 2010, Quora, Inc. was valued at $86 million and was made public on June 21, 2010.
Quora is a question-and-answer website where users can answer questions and comment on other answers written by other users. On the website, users are required to register using their real names but allowed to link their accounts to both Facebook and Twitter.
