Young Nudy’s birth name is Quantavious Tavario Thomas. He was born in East Atlanta, DeKalb County, Georgia. He is the older brother to PDE Escobar and a cousin to fellow 21 Savage, also a rapper from Atlanta.
Young Nudy grew up with his mother but stated that he was closer to his grandparents. He has a sister named Ashley. His father was not present as he grew up but they renewed their relationship when the rapper was 17 years old. Young Nudy is of Jamaican descent.
He grew up specifically in Zone 6 where a lot of gang activities were present. He also said before that he got involved in troubles as he was growing up. He credited his cousin, 21 Savage, for getting him into rap.
He went to Ronald McNair Sr. High School but eventually dropped out when he was in 10th grade. One of his reasons for dropping out is because he wanted to help his mom make ends meet.

He released his first song in 2014 called “Off The Head.” The following year, Young Nudy was featured on 21 Savage’s song “Air It Out.” Later that year, he also released the mixtape called “Paradise 2 East Atlanta” with the rapper Kourtney Money.
The rapper released “Slimeball” in 2016 and its sequel “Slimeball 2” in 2017. These songs featured artists 21 Savage, Juicy J, Peso, and Kourtney Money. Its lead track “EA” featured his rapper cousin 21 Savage.
