Mark Lee is a Korean-Canadian singer, rapper, and dancer. He is a member of the South Korean boy band NCT and its subunits NCT 127 and NCT Dream. He also performs in the group SuperM.

Personal Life

Mark Lee or Mark Lee was born on August 2, 1999, in Toronto, Canada. After a short while, his family relocated to Vancouver. Not much is known about his family but he has an older brother. He can speak two languages – English and Korean.

He attended Eonju Middle School and graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul on February 7, 2018.

He was cast through the SM Entertainment Global Audition in Vancouver, Canada. It was his brother who encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He joined SM Entertainment and was a trainee for four years. Some of his favorite artists are Beyonce, Coldplay, Chris Brown, SHINee’s Minho, EXO’s Xiumin. 

According to their fandom, Mark Lee’s favorite foods are kimchi, chicken, jajangmyeon, watermelon, cookies, chocolate, and bread. His favorite color is blue. He also loves badminton and ice skating.

Professional Career

Mark Lee joined SM Entertainment in 2012 when he passed the global audition held by the company. On December 16, 2013, he was introduced as a member of SM Rookies team of pre-debut trainees. In 2015, SM Rookies appeared as Mouseketeers in the remake of The Mickey Mouse Club, which aired on Disney Channel Korea.

In 2016, SM Entertainment announced that Mark and four other members of SM Rookies, Taeyong, Doyoung, Ten and Jaehyun, would debut as members of NCT U. They released their first digital single was “The 7th Sense”

Mark also became a member of NCT’s second subunit, NCT 127, and third subunit NCT Dream. Mark joined High School Rapper, a survival hip hop reality, in 2017. In October 2018, Mark released the song “Dream Me” with Red Velvet’s Joy. The song was the soundtrack of Korean TV series “Ghost Detective.”

Mark graduated from NCT Dream but age-based graduation was abolished, allowing for him to return after some time.

In 2019, it was announced he was a member of SuperM, a group created by SM Entertainment with Capitol Records.

On February 4, 2022, Mark Lee released his first single “Child“, as part of NCT Lab, a special season project by SM Station.
