He went to high school until 12th grade but he dropped out. While in school, he got involved in a criminal activity which is one of the reasons he dropped out.
JayDaYoungan was inspired by musicians like Boosie Badazz, Kevin Gates, and Chief Keef. The style and flow of his music have been compared to Boosie and Youngboy Never Broke Again. According to a critic, he sounded similar to Lil Wayne and Kevin Gates.
Professional Career
In 2017, he released his mixtape “Ruffwayy”, which became a huge commercial success. His track “Interstate” garnered 4 million views on YouTube in just a month after it was released. With this achievement, he was considered for a spot on the XXL freshman list in 2018 which is a list of rising rappers in the industry.
