He is the principal and senior managing director of investor relations for AJ Capital Partners, a private real estate company based in Chicago, Illinois. Their company works on restorations of hotels and development of new infrastructures.

Manning was also a partner of Scotia Howard Weil, an energy investment boutique located in Houston and New Orleans. The company holds annual energy conferences that attract investors, private firms, public and private energy companies, and more.

Personal Life

Cooper Manning was born on March 6, 1974, in New Orleans, in the state of Louisiana. He is the eldest child of Archie and Olivia Manning. His father, Archie, was a professional football player and played for the National Football League (NFL). He has two younger brothers, Eli and Peyton Manning.

Following his father’s footsteps, he played football as a wide receiver at Isidore Newman School, Huge potential was seen in him during his breakout season in his senior year. He also played with his brother Peyton at quarterback.

Manning was a top high school prospect. He then committed to the University of Mississippi which is his father’s alma mater, and later on. His brother, Eli, would, later on, play for the same school. 

When his team started their practices, Copper Manning felt some numbness in his fingers and toes, so he went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to seek consult. He was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, a disease that causes narrowing of the spine putting pressure on the nerves. After this, he retired from football.

His brother, Peyton, donned Cooper’s s jersey number, 18, when he was drafted into NFL.

He is married to Ellen Heidingsfelder, an attorney. They have three children together.

Professional Career

After letting go of football because of spinal stenosis, he sought out other career options. He became a partner of Scotia Howard Weil, an energy investment boutique in Houston and New Orleans. The firm is famous for its annual Energy Conference. 

In 2015, Manning joined Fox NFL Kickoff’s broadcast team. The following year, he joined AJ Capital Partners’ executive team as the principal and senior managing director of investor relations. Their company has worked with Soho House Chicago, Thompson Chicago, and Hotel Lincoln.

On December 13, 2009, Cooper with Peyton and Eli, appeared in The Simpsons episode titled “O’Brother, Where Bart Thou?”

Cooper Manning Relationship Status

Cooper Manning married Ellen Heidingsfelder in 1999 after being in a relationship for a few years. They have three children – two sons and a daughter – May, Heid, and Arch.

May plays volleyball at the University of Virginia. His sons Heid and Arch, play center quarterback, respectively, at Isidore Newman School, the same school where he, his father, and his uncles went to.
