Michael Corleone net worth is around $300 million. Their family has several businesses including hotels, casinos, newspaper business, and stocks. Their family also owns Genco Pura Olive Oil Company which gives them a huge revenue.

Aside from legal business ventures, Michael is also a member of the Corleone crime family. They own several illegal businesses including  illegal gambling operations.

Personal Life

Michael Corleone was born on March 23, 1920, in New York, United States.  His parents are the Mafia don Vito Corleone and his wife Carmela. He has two older brothers named Santino “Sonny” Corleone and Frederico “Fredo” Corleone, and a younger sister named Constanzia “Connie” Corleone.

Michael was deeply loved and cared for by his father from the day he was born. In the novel, it was observed that he was the most alike to his Don Vito in terms of intelligence and personality.

When he was young, he expressed interest in politics and wanted to be the Italian president. Initially, he wanted nothing to do with their family’s criminal enterprise so he enrolled at Dartmouth College. 

In 1941, during World War II, he enlisted in the Marines and fought in the Pacific. He was awarded the Navy Cross and was discharged as a Captain to recover from his medical injuries. Without his knowledge, his father paid off the doctor to exaggerate his injuries so he will be discharged.

When he returned to Dartmouth, he met Kay Adams, and they started dating. He assured Kay that he will not be involved with his family’s illegal businesses.

His father was almost killed in 1945 which started his involvement in his family’s criminal organization. Michael then volunteered to kill the men responsible for his father’s assasination attempt. After this, Michael Corleone was sent to Sicily to lie low.

In Sicily, he met a young woman named Apollonia and got married to her. However, she was killed by a car bomb which was supposed to be for Michael.

He returns to New York when his older brother Sonny, is murdered. He reconnected with Kay and became the New Don of their family in 1955 after Don Vito’s death.

He retired and died in 1997 in Don Tommasino’s old villa in Sicily, Italy.

Professional Career

When Michael Corleone became the new Don, he became more ruthless than his father. 

After some time, he decided to make their family businesses legitimate. He even bought different companies including a construction business. 

This was unsuccessful at first because of the deep criminal ties the Corleone family has.

Michael Corleone met Kay Adams, a teaching assistant, when he was at Dartmouth College. However, when he moved to Sicily to lie low after his crime, the two had no connections.

In Sicily, Michael married Apollonia who died due to a car bomb meant for him.

Back in New York, Kay and Michael reconnected. They had two children Anthony and Mary. However, they divorced.
