Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, professionally known as Jacquees, was born on April 15, 1994, in Decatur, Georgia which is a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. He was raised in a big family and lived with many of his relatives growing up.
Аt 9 years old, Јасquееѕ dіѕсоvеrеd hіѕ love and passion fоr muѕіс with the tеlеvіѕіоn show “Тhе Јасkѕоn: Аn Аmеrісаn Drаmа” аnd “Тhе Теmрtаtіоnѕ.” He was 12 years old when he started writing his own songs. He also took interest in R&B songs and grew up listening to artists like Usher, R. Kelly, Boyz II Men, Ginuwine, and Jodeci.

Jacquees met Corey Battle, his first manager, in 2017. He performed in a lot of shows before he met Russell “Block” Spencer, who was CEO and founder of Block Entertainment, and worked under his company. Jacquees worked at Block’s recording studio, and debuted with the track, “Krazy” which featured T.I, a rapper from Atlanta.
The singer independently released his second EP, “19,” on March 25, 2015. It debuted at #15 on the US Billboard Top R&B Albums. The EP has 11 tracks and features guest appearances from famous artists such as Chris Brown, Lloyd, Rich Homie Quan, and Trinidad James.
Jacquees announced that he had signed with Cash Money Records on October 1, 2014. In May 2016, he collaborated with, Birdman, a fellow artist from Cash Money Records. on an EP “Lost at Sea.”
He is most popular for his single “B.E.D.” released in 2016. He achieved mainstream success with the song with it placing at #69 on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks.
