Clay Clark was born and raised in Minnesota but he moved to Tulsa when he started attending Oral Roberts University. He worked as a disc jockey who went by the name “DJ Clay.”
In the 2009 Tulsa Mayoral Elections, he was a candidate with a platform focusing on pro-life and anti-illegal immigration. He later withdrew from the election and supported fellow Republican Chris Medlock’s candidacy.
Clark’s father, Thom Clay, died of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS in 2016.

Clay is the founder of Thrive15. Because of a number of successful companies such as DJ Connection, Elephant in the Room Men’s Grooming Lounge, and Thrive 15, he was awarded “U.S. SBA Entrepreneur of the Year” and has been referred to as the “Jim Carey of Entrepreneurship.” When he was only 20 years old, he got the “Metro Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year” and when he was 27, the “U.S. Chamber National Blue Ribbon Quality Award Winner.”
In addition to founding several companies, he has been a business growth consultant for reputable companies and corporations including Hewlett Packard, Farmers Insurance, Maytag University, Valspar Paint, and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.
