Bell spent some time in tornado alley and in her last year at Mississippi State, she worked at WMC-TV in Memphis. After her graduation, she also worked in various areas like at KHBS/KHOG in Fayetteville, and then at WAPT in Jackson, Mississippi.
She also worked at ABC 11 in Raleigh in the state of North Carolina. While she was there, she reported on a number of hurricanes like Florence, Dorian, and Isaias.
