Oladeji Daniel Olatunji “Deji” was born in London on December 9, 1996, in London. Deji grew up and lived most of his life in London. The names of his parents are not known but he has an older brother named Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, also known as KSI, a Youtuber and a rapper. He grew up in a middle-class and Christian household.
Ever since he was a young boy, he loved playing video games. He was a video game enthusiast and was fond of games such as Call of Duty, Tekken 6, Halo 2, and the game he and his brother often play, FIFA.
He completed his early schooling at a local high school in London in the United Kingdom. Afterwards, he went to a local private university in London, where he graduated.
At first, Deji’s parents were not supportive of his online and social media career. However, this changed, when they saw his older brother’s success.
Professional Career
Deji, with his huge love for video games, was inspired to start his online career by streaming games and uploading videos about games. At first, he appeared many times in his brother’s Youtube videos. He became popular because of this and decided to start his own channel.
He used to make short sketches, using a parody style in making these videos together with his brother and father.
His channel are mainly short funny videos on various games like Halo 2, Tekken 6, Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 12. Deji has and still does create a lot of “challenge” and “prank” videos and comedic Q&A series, and vlogs. He started releasing music videos in 2017.
KSI, his brother, is also supportive of Deji and frequently appears on his channel.
Deji had his first-ever amateur boxing fight against Jake Paul, a fellow Youtuber, on August 25, 2022, at the Manchester Arena in the UK. Unfortunately, he lost the match but said that he would fight again in the future if given the chance. Just two days after his match with Jake Paul, he fought another YouTuber named Fousey. He won the match.
Deji has an upcoming exhibition boxing match with the former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight is set to happen on November 13, 2022 at the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai, UAE.
